Josh Stover, ADCA
My name is Josh. I have been a lifelong resident of Maine, growing up in the Boothbay Region and relocating to the capital area two years ago. I’ve not only reclaimed my life but also discovered a profound passion for helping others in their own recovery.

I’m currently enrolled in the University of Maine’s Mental Health and Human Services degree program, I am dedicated to becoming a substance abuse counselor. My goal is to use my experiences to guide and support others on their path to recovery, turning my challenges into opportunities for positive change.
Outside of my academic pursuits, I cherish every moment spent with my son. We share a love for the outdoors, often embarking on hiking and fishing adventures. When the weather keeps us indoors, we dive into our shared geeky interests, playing video games and indulging in sci-fi movies. These experiences, both challenging and joyful, have shaped me into someone who values resilience, compassion, integrity, and the pursuit of a purpose-driven life.

I spent 18 months of my recovery in the TC community and it was the best decision I ever made for myself though God the TC and AA I was gifted a second chance at life. My passion is to work with the recovery community I found that when I was in treatment and have been pursuing it ever since. I am a student at UMA in the mental health and human services field and will test for my CADC as soon as I am eligible. I pray that all who are lost in addiction can see another way out and I’m hoping to be a part of there journey. I am honest to be a part of Zysk recovery.
